Max Vangeli Interview

So over at the Victor Radz Blog I will be interviewing DJ's and Producers from around the world. The first Producer/DJ that I was able to speak with was Max Vangeli. Since WMC we have seen a couple new producers jumping into the spotlight from the Size Records team. Max Vangeli is one of those producers putting his foot down and showing the world his sound. Max has some pretty big songs under his name at the moment like "Swedish Beauty", "Gama", and "Starry Eyed (Max Vangeli & AN21 Remix) that are pushing him even further into the House world spotlight.

1. How old are you?

MV - 22

2. Where are you from?

MV - Born and raised in Moldova (Eastern Europe).

3. Where do you live now?

MV - San Francisco.

4. When did you start Producing?

MV - About 4 years ago.

5. When did you start DJing?

MV - About the same time as producing.

6. What is your latest single?

MV - Swedish Beauty on Sebastian Ingrosso's Refune Records.

7. What is your favorite single you have released?

MV - You don't pick favorites when you have children.

8. CD's or Digital?

MV - CDs.

9. Software or Hardware?

MV - Software.

10. What is your favorite VST?

MV - Arturia Minimoog all the way.

11. Favorite club to spin at?

MV - Ruby Skye in San Francisco.

12. When did you decide Djing and Producing were what you wanted to do?

MV - I was always interested in music. So it was a part of my life from the start.

13. What types of music did you listen to when you were growing up?

MV - Rock.

14. What projects are you working on now?

MV - At this point getting a lot of remix work done.

15. Where will we see you next?

MV - Australia at the Dreamland Music Festival then at Brixton Academy with the Swedish House Mafia.

16. When can we expect your next release?

MV - My remix of Cicada - One Beat Away is coming out on April 12th.

17. What would you say to aspiring producers around the world?

MV - Try and find a new sound. Stop copying other people's shit. In the long run it will only benefit you.
